Materials List, Reference Photo & Pencil Sketch
I encourage you to just use what you have at hand, it is completely okay if you don't have the exact colors or brushes as I do. Just have a go at painting and have fun! You can upgrade your tools later.
Paper:
- Watercolor Paper (I use Baohong Cold Pressed 300gsm)
Paint colors:
- Opera (Fuchsia pink)
- Quinacridone Scarlet (Red)
- Quinacridone Gold (Yellow)
- Cobalt Green (Green)
- Burnt Umber (Brown)
- Ultramarine Deep (Dark Blue)
- Optional for highlights: Lavender (Lavender), Jaune Brilliant (Cream)

Brushes:
- Big flat brush (For background wash)
- Smaller flat/round brush (for details)
- Stiff brush (Like an acrylic brush with denser bristles, we will use to 'lift' up paint)
- Old brush or cheap brush (for masking fluid, you can also use Q-tip, or something disposable)
Other tools:
- Magic Sponge (Melamine cleaning sponge, we will use this to 'lift' up paint)
- Masking fluid (You can also use wax as an alternative)
- Acrylic Board/Plastic Board (We will stretch our paper on this, but you can skip it if you don't have one, and simply tape your paper onto a board)
Basics:
- Pencil, Eraser
- Water
- Mixing Palette
- Towel
